What is a 3-Way Link Exchange?

3way link exchange is the process where 3 websites interlinked to each other instead of two. For example, site A links to site B, but not B to A. So, site B is only receiving a one-way link from site A and NOT linking back to it. Likewise, site C and site A are linked from one site but not linking back. Instead, site C and A are simply reciprocal-linking to different domains.

As long as there are 3 websites involved, then that is three way linking.

It is harder for search engines to detect a link scheme if your link building strategy is based on three-way links because this pattern is usually seen in many websites in the Internet. To make it better, you can try four-way or even five-way link exchange. It is almost guaranteed that you could get the maximum result to increase your PageRank. In other words, 3-way link exchange is an attempt to mask reciprocal link exchange.

In the usual reciprocal link exchange you will place your site back to your site and other websites place a link to another website. If so, there exist many links going out on your site, search engines will notice that easily. So that search engines do not count your every reciprocal links and increase your page will not be such a reciprocal relationship.

3 Way Link Exchange can be very beneficial if you have a website whose page rank is good and the number of links, to use the popularity of your website popularity / page rank can enhance / my other new website (s the SERP).
